Scratch this Record, alien MCs.

30 years ago NASA sent the Voyager 1 spacecraft shooting out into space; it is now the farthest manmade object from Earth, and has actually left the Solar System.

Not knowing who might run into it `out there' (remember that Star Trek:TNG episode?), Scientists included a number of mathematical, musical, and photographical messages that `splain where Earth is, its varied cultures, and provide greetings in dozens of languages, including whale-song.

All of this information was encoded onto a, get this, Golden Record.

Yup, our greeting to aliens was sent out on a quadraphonic LP.

Not sure if Earth is best represented by a Golden Record put together at the height of the Disco Era by a bunch of white Scientists who lived in central Florida and/or Texas. Add the line `and the aliens who found it came to Earth, with surprising results', and I think you've got the pitch line for a `50s sci-fi B-movie.
